Freelance Content Marketer

I’m currently working as a freelance writer and content marketer developing a wide array of content for clients in the software, PaaS, and robotics industries. I create diverse marketing assets for my clients including blog posts, eBooks, white papers, website copy, and marketing campaign materials. I also craft content for product marketing and sales purposes: case studies, data sheets, solution briefs, battle cards, and sales enablement materials. Additionally, I run the company social media accounts for one of my clients, which involves developing a strategy, coming up with content ideas, creating graphics, maintaining a publishing calendar, and pushing social media posts live.


Content Factory Marketing Manager

QUBOLE | 2018 - 2019

As Qubole’s Content Factory Marketing Manager, I was responsible for the creation, publication, and promotion of marketing and product marketing content. I oversaw all aspects of the Qubole Blog, which published content infrequently before I joined and published two blogs per week under my direction (which led to a 10+ percent increase in blog traffic over three months). In addition to providing editorial support for blogs as well as writing my own blogs, I also developed original assets for the marketing team including eBooks, case studies, and white papers.

I also led a video testimonial project, where I coordinated the logistics, recording, editing, and publication of five customer testimonials. Other content projects I led or assisted with included a monthly newsletter for prospects, website copy, landing pages, email campaigns, data sheets, the editorial blog calendar, and infographics. I also worked with a third-party agency to manage our SEO strategy, identify opportunities for improvement, and oversee changes.


Content Marketing Manager

Numerify | 2016 - 2018

In my role as Content Marketing Manager for Numerify, I developed marketing content for diverse purposes including campaigns, branding, and thought leadership. As the sole team member focused on content creation, my role incorporated many elements of the content development process: content strategist, creator, editor, and publisher. 

My chief projects included developing original marketing assets, overseeing the Numerify blog, and generating copy for marketing materials. Additional content I helped to develop included customer case studies, website copy, data sheets, and press releases.


Marketing Manager / Specialist

Business-Software.com | 2013 - 2016  

 

As the Marketing Manager and Managing Editor at Business-Software.com, I oversaw all content marketing projects and personnel. My chief responsibilities included managing the creation and maintenance of all site content, developing assets and landing page concepts to improve conversions, and coordinating team projects. While at Business-Software.com I also created a Style Guide and a Marketing Manual, both of which served as reference documents for new hires and resources for procedural questions.

Prior to becoming the Marketing Manager, I was a Content Specialist and Editor. In this role I focused on developing and optimizing content for blog posts, on-site pages, infographics, interviews, and client projects. I also organized and led all SEO activities, including optimizing existing content with relevant keywords and meta descriptions.

Movoto | 2012 - 2013

While at Movoto, my primary responsibilities included creating unique and reader-friendly content for the company blog. I was also tasked with developing ideas for accompanying infographics or other supplementary visuals. As a contributor to the Movoto Blog, I focused on crafting lighthearted content that combined real estate with entertainment and pop culture to help our brand gain visibility.

As a Staff Writer at my university's student-run newspaper, my role consisted of researching assigned article topics, interviewing sources, compiling relevant information, and crafting articles. I typically worked on one or two articles per week and covered a variety of subjects: campus activities, university staff, regional events, and beyond.

SEASONS Magazine | 2012

 

During my time as a New Media and Editorial Intern for the Santa Barbara SEASONS Magazine, I researched local events and composed animated blog entries for the SEASONS website. I also edited and fact-checked spreads for the latest magazine edition prior to publication, as well as contributed small content pieces to future editions.
